Your details, kept simple.

If you send me an enquiry, I use your details to reply to you. That's it. No mailing lists, no tracking, no selling anything to anyone.

Who I am

Waveshaper is a trading name of GateBud Limited, a New Zealand company based in Pāpāmoa, Bay of Plenty. When this page says "I" or "me", it means Jason at Waveshaper, on behalf of GateBud Limited.

What I collect

Only what you type into the contact form:

• your name, and your email or phone number
• what you need help with, and your budget if you choose to share it
• your business name, current website and message, if you add them

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, the host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.

What I do with it

I use your details to reply to your enquiry, talk through your project and, if we work together, to quote, invoice and keep normal business records. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Where it goes

When you send the form, your message is delivered to my email inbox by Resend, an email delivery service. The site is hosted by Vercel. Both are based in the United States, so your details may be processed there. I only use providers that keep information secure.

How long I keep it

Enquiries stay in my email for as long as they're useful for the conversation. If you become a client, I keep invoices and related records for seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email hello@waveshaper.co.nz and I'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
